June Louise Ginther, 85, of Grayling, passed away October 31, 2019, in the comfort and peace of her home, with her family.
June was born October 29, 1934, in Fife Lake Mi, to Clifford and Zina Crouch.
June was preceded in death by her brothers Bill, Peter, and Bernard, and her grandson, Joshua Halstead.
June met Gary Ginther in 1954 at Dawson’s in Grayling. They were married six months later at the “little stone church” (Garfield Country Church) in Sharon MI, and then moved to Romeo Mi. They moved back to Grayling in 1974, to start an industrial manufacturing business, Deane Systems. Together they worked hard to make Deane Systems a successful business, which just celebrated 45 years in business. June was a devoted wife and loving mother, and grandmother. June had a very deep and abiding faith that she lived by every day; she attended Heritage Baptist Church.
June also enjoyed nature and wildlife. From the 1970s through the 1990s, June brought her love of nature to approximately twenty thousand children all over the state of Michigan, through educational nature programs that she and her daughter, Kim, presented. June made nature “come alive” for children, through her “hands on” approach.
June also wrote beautiful poems about nature and family. Christmas was a very special time of the year for June, who decorated her home like a beautiful fairyland. All of us in the family remember the candy jars lined up, ready and waiting for the children to enjoy. She also quietly took care of many friends and neighbors throughout the years. Bringing meals, doing laundry, babysitting or whatever was needed to be done, to help anyone in need.
June is survived by her husband, Gary, three sons and one daughter, Brett, Mark, & Nate Ginther, and Kim Schuster (Ginther); six grandsons and two granddaughters, Matt, Brook, Maverick, Jesse, Shane, Max, Alanda, and Nicholas; as well as several great grandchildren. She also leaves many family and friends whom she loved greatly.
