Josephine C. Keene

Josephine C. Keene, 91, of Maple Forest Township passed away on Thursday, May 10th, 2007. Josephine was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on February 12, 1916, the daughter of the late Albert and Josephine (Dolinga) Tabaczynski.. She married Harold Keene, Sr in 1934, he preceded her in death. They moved to the area in 1958 and were proud of thier farm in Maple Forest Township. She had worked at Mercy Hospital, Hartwick Pines, and Hanson Hills over the years. Josephine was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survived by: Son: Harold Keene, Jr. Grandchildren:Debbie & Donna Keene of Grayling Doug (Dori) Keene of Roscommon Dale (Theresa) Keene of Tennessee Connie (Larry) Myers of Frederic Mike (Dana) Keene of Gaylord Bobby (Fran) Keene of Traverse City. 19 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren Preceded in death by her husband Harold Sr; a son Robert Keene; and daughter in law Susan Keene. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Sunday May 13, 2007 from 1-3 pm & 5-7 pm Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday May 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Grayling, MI, with Father Robert Nalley officiating.
