John Maynard Mrohs

John Maynard Mrohs, 77, of Grayling, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, July 24, 2015. He was born September 4, 1937 in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Maynard and Dorothy (Telliga) Mrohs. John served with the Michigan National Guard for six years with six months of active duty in California. He married Maureen (Arnold-Harvey) Mrohs on March 11, 2000. In 1955, he began working for AC Spark Plug as a blueprint boy. By 1978, he was designing instrument clusters for Chevrolet. After working for 38 years at AC Spark Plug and then Delco Electronics, John retired to Northern Michigan. He enjoyed fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and framed photography. He mounted and framed several blue ribbon award winning photos. Survived by his wife, Maureen Harvey-Mrohs, of 15 years. Daughters: Lisa (Mrohs) Braden of Las Vegas, NV. Lenae Mrohs and fiancé James Pinnack, Jr., of Palestine, IL. Luann (Mrohs) and Roland Szukhent of Flushing, MI. Step children: Angela Harvey (Roy Bergstrom) of Rhode Island William Harvey of Indiana Grandchildren: Alyssa (Ryan) Darrow, Whiteman AFB, MO. Chase Runyon of Noble, IL. Hunter Runyon of Robinson, IL Megan (Mike) Brady of Flushing, MI Roland Szukhent, III of Flushing, MI. Great grandchildren: Abigail and Emma Brady. Brother: James Mrohs of Grayling.
