John Joseph Kapets

John Joseph Kapets, 78, of Grayling, MI passed away Friday July 18, 2014. John was born to Joseph and Ruth Kapets in Ironwood, MI on September 28, 1935. John married Judith Ann Lee on January 30, 1960. He served in the National Guard for many years. John worked then at Huron Tool/USI, worked at Bear Archery from 1974-1979, then at Grayling Industries, and retired out of Elk Rapids Engineering in 1997. John is survived by his wife, Judith Ann Kapets; children, Steve & Nancy Kapets, Carol & Mike Gordon, Suzanne & Tom Borsos, and Robin Zokas; grandchildren, Sammy and Sarah Kapets, Beth (Josh) Martin, Mike (Kim) Gordon, Andrew and Kelly Branning, and Gabrielle and Nate Zokas; 7 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Gloria & Dick Eidemiller, Dave & Sue Swanson, Joanne Ripple, Polly Suzik, and Diane & Jack Kattelus. John is preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kapets home. Condolences may be expressed at www.sorensonlockwood.com.
