Joan Marie Smith (Cronk)

Joan Marie Smith, 84, of Traverse City, MI and formerly of South Branch Township passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Joan was born in Hazel Park, Michigan on November 11, 1929, daughter of the late Anna Eliza (MacGregor) Smith and Donald Cronk. Joan married Ken Smith on November 11, 1949 in Hazel Park, Michigan. Joan enjoyed her family, reading, knitting, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and playing board games. She attended Lovells Community Chapel and was a member of T.O.P.S.. Survived by her husband Ken of 64 years. Sons: Stephen (Judy) Smith of Traverse City Alan (Darlene) Smith of Macomb Township Grandchildren: Cortney Smith, Stephanie Endres, and Derek Smith all of Traverse City. 10 Great grandchildren Sister: Elizabeth Robbins of Little Lake, MI. Preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and 4 brothers. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Tuesday November 26, 2013 between 2-6 p.m. with Funeral Service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Gary Hopp officiating.
