Jim Larry McClain

Jim Larry McClain, 79, of Grayling, passed away while in the company of family members Monday February 6, 2012. Jim was born in Grayling, MI on August 1, 1932, a son of the late Carrie (LaGrow) and Floyd "Mickey" McClain. He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal and worked as a supply sgt. at M.A.T.E.S. He married the former Rita Sorenson on November 6, 1954 in Grayling. Survived by his wife Rita of 57 years Children: Jim McClain of Grayling Dan (Carolyn) McClain of West Bloomfield Julie (Mark) Ginther of Grayling Randy (Denise) McClain of St. Clair Shores Pam (Michael) Fischl of Storrs, Connecticut Grandchildren: Mickey, Brooke (Brad), Melanie, Matt (Shannon), Blair, Mitchell, Adam, Katie, Michael, and Molly Great grandchildren: Olivia and Griffin Siblings: F.J. McClain, Jerry (Wilda) McClain, Sally (LeRoy) Papendick, and Bob (Marilyn) McClain. Preceded in death by his brother Jack McClain. A memorial service will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home at 10:00 am on Friday, February 10, 2012.
