Jerry W Morford

Jerry W. Morford, 82, passed away October 23, 2021 in Grayling, MI. Jerry was born in Kalamazoo, MI on September 14, 1939, to Ellen and Marvin (Mike) Morford.

He grew up in Breckenridge, MI and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Urban Planning. He married Judith in 1991. Jerry served the City of Grayling as the City Manager from 1972-1999 and was a long-time member of Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, canoeing, card club, and biking the trails. Above all he was dedicated to family.

Jerry is survived by his wife Judy; six children Dean (Cheryll) Morford of Alanson, Ronda Hutek of Roscommon, Ryan (Jamie) Morford of Holland, Allen (Tammy) Morford of Bridgeport, Lisa Watson of Comstock Park, Andrea (Chris) Arnold of Oakland; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Michael (Sheryl) Watson of Gaylord.

There will be no formal funeral services. A family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Donations can be made to Crawford County Commission on Aging in memory of Jerry.
