Jean Louise Starks (Bell)

Jean Louise Starks, 83, of Grayling, MI passed away on Sunday February 23, 2014. Jean was born in Hazelton, Pennsylvania on June 9, 1930 to Fred and Dora (Heller) Bell. She married Linden R. Starks on July 19, 1947. They were married for 56 years before he passed away in 2003. Jean and her husband Linden owned and operated Jean's Shamrock Cafe in Grayling which later became Milltown Cafe. Jean was always helping others. She enjoyed baking, sewing, chocolate candy making, knitting and crocheting. Most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survived by her children: Doretta Adkins of Gaylord Daniel and Linda Starks of Grayling Geoffrey and Rebecca Starks of Gaylord Brian Starks of Gaylord She also had 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, a brother and a sister. A private family service will be held at a later date.
