James Harland Small

James Harland Small, 88, of Grayling, MI, passed away on August 23, 2015. James was born in Flint, MI on January 15, 1927, a son of the late Eden (Smallwood) and Clarence C. Small . He served in the U.S. Navy. James was an honest and loving Christian man. He was also a hard working brick mason that taught the trade to many and worked until he was 79 years old. He married Vera Pauline (Mansfield) Huntley on June 30, 2006 in Gladwin, Michigan. Survived by his wife Vera of 9 years. Children: Bonnie (Paul) Smith of Grayling Jacqueline (Hal) Leas of Grayling Garvin Huntley of Kawkawlin Anara Confer of Georgia Kenton Huntley of Illinois 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Sisters: Mae Niederer of Grayling Betty Mynarcik of St. Helen Brother: John (Dorothy) Small of Grayling Preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Small; also preceded in death by brothers, Clarence and Tom Small; and sister, Ilace Demerey.
