James C. Peters

James C. Peters, 84, of Grayling passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009. James was born in Detroit, MI on July 7, 1924, the son of the late James and Ethel (Godfrey) Peters. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Aviation Ordinanaceman Third Class in WW II. He sheet metal worker before retiring and moving from Lathrup Village and moving to Grayling James married the former Joan Thibault on December 29, 1978 in Grayling, MI He enjoyed music, living out in the woods and nature. He attended Gaylord Evangelical Free Church Gaylord, MI, . Survived by his wife Joan of 30 years. Sons: James W Peters of Florida. William G (Elyse) Peters of South Carolina, David Peters of Arizona. Daughters, Kate (Richard) Marszalek of Warren, MI. Elizabeth Russell of Nevada. 4 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Sister: Wilma Smith of Vermont. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles Peters.
