James Scott Kehr, 66, of Grayling passed away peacefully at home July 27, 2021.
Jim is survived by his wife of 30 years, Teena Kehr; children Henny Kehr of Germany, Crystal Mattson of Georgia, Angelika Kehr of Germany, and Kenneth Kehr of Grayling; grandchildren Jimmy Johns, Annie Johns, Elyas, and Nelo of Germany; and siblings Ray Kehr, Tonnya Kehr, Fred Kehr, Pamela Jerome, Carl Kehr, and Louis Kehr. Jim is preceded in death by his parents Ray John Kehr and Violet Margaret (Turner) Kehr.
Jim was born in Alliance, Ohio on October 19, 1954. Jim had many notable life accomplishments. He was known through Grayling High School for holding many records in track and field and in highschool was also known as the "backflip" kid. Jim proudly served in United States Army for 16 years. Jim received the Outstanding Patriotism & Community Service Award from the VFW #3736 11/11/2007. He also went to the Richard Petty Driving Experience through a national wide NAPA contest because of Fred and Andy Moore. He was the owner of JJ's Automotive for many years. He and his family are the owners of the Evan Turner Soldiers Memorial, located at their home.
