James Henry Verlinde, 77, of Frederic passed away on Thursday April 21, 2011. James was born in Frederic, MI on April 30, 1933, the son of the late Henry and Ida Mae (Walker) Verlinde. James married the former Barbara Clough on January 19,1951 in Grayling. Survived by his wife Barbara of 60 years. Daughters: Karole Jean (George) Rosin of Frederic. Kelly (Vance) Verlinde of Frederic. Sons: James (Anita) Verlinde of Frederic, Craig (Sonja) Verlinde of Oklahoma Daniel Verlinde of Frederic. 11 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren Sisters: Helen Cram of Swartz Creek Edna Allen of Flint Velma June Wilcox of Frederic His beloved dog Sophie Preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 25th, 2011 at the Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Frederic.
