Irma Mae Valdick

Irma Mae Valdick, 85, of Grayling passed away on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 and will be greatly missed by her family. Irma was born in Benzonia, Michigan on April 29, 1922, the daughter of the late Orlen and Mary (Green) Fookes. Irma worked at Shoppenagon's, Telephone Company in Roscommon, and Bear Archery. She married Floyd L. Valdick on January 9, 1942 in Detroit, MI/ He preceded her in death in 1985. Irma was closely involved in family and activities of her family. She enjoyed sewing and was also previously involved with the Hobby Club in Frederic. Survived by: Daughter: Mary (Ken) Wright of Grayling, MI. Son:Terry (Kathleen) Valdick of Elkhart, IN. She is also survived by Grandchildren, Buzz Partello. Kristina Work, Amy Libby, Kari Valdick Great-grandchildren, Nickolas Partello, Jessika Partello, Kayla Libby, Ethan Libby Brother: Norman (Ruth) Fookes of Midland, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday April 7, 2008 between 4-7 pm. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Funeral Service at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. on Monday April 7th,2008 .
