Mrs. Ilah L. Williams, 78, of Grayling passed away on Sunday, June 13th, 2010. Ilah was born in Missaukee County, MI on May 16, 1932, the daughter of the late Bennie Eugene and Elizabeth Louella (Rayment) Carpenter. She married Albert "Fritz" Williams on May 8, 1971 at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church. She attended Heritage Baptist Church. Ilah worked for Chrysler Corp., LP Plastics, Bear Archery, several restaurants, and City Environmental Services. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and companion Missy the dog. She always kept herself busy by crocheting, sewing, baking, and cooking. She enjoyed checking on other elderly people through the Commission on Aging. When she was done all of these things, she enjoyed getting into mischief. Survived by her husband Albert "Fritz" Williams of 39 years. Daughters: Linda (Dan) Starks of Grayling Bonnie (Pat) DeWitt of Montana Bennie (Deb) Labo of Frederic Allen (Laura) Labo,Sr. of Washington Stepsons: Robert (Sherry) Williams of Florida Loren (Kathy) Williams of Falmouth 10 Grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren Sisters: Edah (Cliff) Halliday of Houghton Lake Ethel (Basil) Kobiska of Lake City Brothers: Doug (Mary) Carpenter of Wyoming Zale (Lulubell) Carpenter of Falmouth Preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter Angie Labo. Visitation will be held on Friday June 18 between 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. with funeral at 2:00 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home.
