Howard Levi Bunker

Howard "Junior" Levi Bunker, Sr., 82 of Grayling MI passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015. He was born in Indian River, MI March 14, 1933 to Howard and Jessie Bunker. Junior enjoyed hunting, fishing, fly tying and playing cribbage. He loved spending time with all of his children & grandchildren; and especially enjoyed family bonfires in the backyard. He retired from Camp Grayling and was a long time member of the American Legion Post #106 for 63 years. Survived by his wife Barbara of 51 years; children, Patricia Letts of Corruna, MI, Lila (David) Myers of Grayling, MI, Alice Maxwell of Grayling, MI, Kathleen (Terry) Valdick of Belton, TX, and Howard (Kristy) Bunker Jr. of Frederic, MI; sister, Lila (Bunker-Golnick) Sellers and brother Lawrence Bunker; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roy Babbitt, Bill Babbitt, Cliff Babbitt, and Carl Babbitt Jr. A visitation will be held Wednesday October 21, 2015 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm. Graveside services will take place at Elmwood Cemetery following the service. The family has asked that any contributions/donations be made to the American Legion Post #106.
