Mr. George Samuel "SAM" Close, 67, of Grayling passed away on Saturday, January 13th, 2007. Sam was born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 23, 1939, the son of the late George Andrew and Vivian (Peletier) Close. He had lived in the Grayling area for 30 years and was an electrician Survived by: Daughter(s): Mary Thatcher of Waterford, MI. Michelle Tidwell of Tennessee. Sister(s): Georgien (Jay) Simons of Florida Helen (Ron) VanHousen of Berkley, MI. Brother: Richard (Molly) Close of Royal Oak, MI. Memorial Service will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home, Grayling, Michigan at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 15th, 2007 with Father Bernard Tyler officiating.
