George Allen Gasser

Mr. George Allen Gasser, 48, of Grayling passed away on Wednesday, June 25th, 2008. George was born in Luzerne, Michigan on September 18, 1959, the son of the late Albert Allen and Thurzal (Thomas) Gasser. He served in the Army National Guard in Iraq for 12 months in 2004/2005 He was employed by the State of Michigan as a heavy equipment operator. He married the former Tammy Sue Doremire on May 20, 1995 in Grayling, Michigan George was the greatest father and husband, a compassionate and generous friend. He was also an active biker, hunter, outdoorsman, enjoyed tinkering in the garage, woodworking. Survived by : Mother, Thurzal Taylor of grayling; Daughters: Toni-Jo , Maggie Mae and Shania Rae Gasser all of Grayling; Sons: Troy , and Geo Gasser, and Jason Wilson, all of Grayling; Sister: Ande (Dan Reed) Mehlhorn of Roscommon; Brothers: Delmer Gasser of Berkley., John (Lisa) Gardiner of Grayling; Many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, Albert Gasser and brother, Bill Gasser. A celebration of George's life will be held at American Legion Post #106, Grayling, between 12-6 p.m. on Saturday, July 5th, 2008.
