Frederick Charles Schaibly

Frederick Charles Schaibly, 81, of Grayling, passed away on January 1, 2017. Frederick was born in Bath, MI on April 27, 1935, a son of the late Pearl (Foland) and Ezra Schaibly. He served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. Fred was a brick layer by trade and worked for Greenville Construction. He later was elected as the Supervisor of Lovells Township. Fred was involved with the Lovells Fire Department and many other community activities, He supported the Grayling Youth Boosters Club and Lions Club. He was a member of the Shriners and Moose Lodge of Lewiston. Survived by his sisters, Katherine Gregg of Gaylord and Nancy Krey of Grayling. Sister in law, Eleanor Schaibly. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sisters, Olga, Betty, and Eleanora; brothers, Bob, Ez, Jake, Dick, Lester, and Kenny. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends to Remember Fred in the spring.
