Floyd "Buddy" Johnson

Floyd "Buddy" Johnson 93, of Grayling, MI(and formerly of LaFayette, Alabama) went to be with his Lord Friday September 28, 2018 surrounded by his daughters. He was born in Summit Arkansas on July 25, 1925 to the late Jess and Ivon (Keeter) Johnson. Floyd married Marian Pauley in 1947 in Detroit, Michigan. Marian preceded him in death in 2007 after almost 60 years of marriage. Floyd was honored to be a Mason and Shriner of more than 50 years. Floyd was passionate about his family and friends. He enjoyed music, dancing , snowmobiling, fishing and riding four wheelers. Floyd was the previous owner of Wag-onn Inn in Grayling in the 1970's. Survived by his children: Robert Wayne Johnson of Alabama, Connie (Mike) Spear of Alabama, Donna (Bob) Sullivan of Florida, and Debby (Brett) Ginther of Grayling, Michigan. Sister: Carolyn Coykendall of Ohio. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Ronald Floyd Johnson, and sisters Delores Sanders and Augusta Johnson. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling. Family will receive visitors beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at LaFayette City Cemetery in Alabama.
