Evelyn Muriel Ellis-French (Brand)

Evelyn Muriel Ellis-French, 80, of Beaver Creek Township passed away on Tuesday, September 8th, 2009. Evelyn was born in Continental, OH on April 27, 1929, the daughter of the late Leroy S. and Dortha M. (Wagner) Brand. Evelyn married Robert O. Ellis and he preceded her in death in 1988. She later married Gordon French and he also preceded her in death in 2003. She was a member of Church of Christ of Grayling and was very involved in the activities of her church until her health would no longer allow. Survived by Son: Robert D. Ellis of Midland Daughters: Linda M. Walters of Roscommon Marian (Ronald) Hilliker of Beaver Creek Township Carolyn (Mark) Randall of Midland. Grandson: Jesse Jameson Granddaughters: Gail and Lea Hilliker Step sons: Roger French, Bob (Cathy) French, Charles French, Ron (Patty) French, Dale (Patty) French and Don (Kathy) French. Step daughters: Mildred Stinson, Joyce French, Dianne (Sam) Samueloff, Nita (Glenn) Wilson, Lois (Dan) Hagerman, Violet (Steve) Schad and daughter in law Louann French. Evelyn is also survived by 36 step grandchildren and many step great grandchildren. Brother: Harold N. Brand (Betty) of Sanford Sisters: Erma L. Brand of Midland Delores (Randall) Skiver of Ohio Brother in law: Leonard Ellis of Wisconsin George (Georgia) Ellis of Indiana Sister in law: Anna (Frank) Spencer of Georgia Marcia Gerlach of IN Preceded in death by husbands Robert Ellis and Gordon French; Sisters: Alice Leona, Betty Jean, Priscilla, and Verna "Ilene". Visitation will be held between 12:00- 1:00 p.m. on Saturday September 12, 2009 at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home and funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. James Chilton officiating Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
