Eugenia Phyllils "JEAN" Kaiser (Wheeler)

November 18, 1924 — March 30, 2010

KAISER, Eugenia Phyllis (Wheeler), age 85, died Tuesday, Mar. 30 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., April 10, 2010 at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling, with burial in Lovells Cemetery, Lovells, Mich. Jean was born in Grayling on Nov. 18, 1924 to Delbert and Lillie Wheeler. She resided in Flint with her husband Jack and five children and worked for Citizens Bank for 18 years before retiring and moving to Lovells. Jean had a love of nature and animals. She was an avid bird watcher and had an extensive collection of hummingbirds. In her younger days, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, rock picking, morelling, and picking berries. She was a competitive card player and also enjoyed trips to the casino, as well as all types of computer games. As a patriotic American, she proudly flew her flag. In her later years, she traveled extensively with her constant companion, Jay Stephan. They visited all 50 states, as well as Australia and New Zealand. Jean is survived by loving companion Jay Stephan of Grayling, and cat Pepper Ann; four children, Jeri Fulbright of Flushing, Jill and husband Larry Day of Grand Blanc, Jeff Kaiser of Lovells, and John Kaiser of Grayling; eleven grandchildren, Matthew Revord, Kelly (Fulbright) Colosky and husband Steven, Christopher Drielick, Abby Hatfield, Paul Smith and wife Stacy, Emily Smith, Whitney (Day) Facione and husband Anthony, Guy Day, Jeff Kaiser, Joe Kaiser, and Rachel Kaiser; as well as six and a half great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jeremy, Jamie, Jaela, Christopher and Audrey Grace along with many wonderful nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Kaiser, daughter Judi (Kaiser) Drielick, son-in-law Ronnie O. Fulbright, her parents, five siblings and her beloved cats, Five and Seven. Special thanks to Cheryl (Stephan) Lowes and Mercy Hospice for their kindness and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grayling Animal Shelter and Mercy Hospice Grayling.
