Etta Adella Bailey (Slagle)

Etta Adella Bailey, 88, of Grayling died on Saturday October 15, 2011. Etta was born in Afton, MI on September 13, 1923, to the late Opal Violet (Frazee) and Joseph Adam Slagle. She married Garrett Bailey, Sr. on May 10, 1941 in Grayling, MI. He preceded her in death in 2010 after 69 years of marriage. Etta was a member of Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxillary. She most enjoyed hanging out with her family, as well as cooking, sewing, crafts, and Bingo. Survived by Daughters: Donna Lea (Louis) Pacek of St. Charles, MI Galah (Gary) Isenhauer, of Grayling, MI; Sons: Garrett Bailey Jr., of Grayling, MI; Randall Burt (Jeanette) Bailey, of Vancouver, WA; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren Sister: Virginia Love of Grayling, MI; Brothers: Dale Slagle of Saginaw, MI. Darrell Slagle of Vanderbilt, MI Preceded in death by: Husband Garrett Sr.; daughter Gloria Ann Bailey; Sisters: Vivian McCall, Louise Merithew, Joyce Stevens, Donna Cox, & Lila Butts; Brothers: Albert, Forrest, Gerald, & Donald Slagle. Visitation will be held on Friday October 21, 2011 between 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral following 1:00 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home.
