Elsie F. Jansen (Horn)

Elsie F. Jansen, 86 of Grayling, MI formerly of Saginaw, MI passed away on July 30, 2011. She was born to Wilhelm and Anna Marie Horn on March 24, 1925 in Saginaw, MI. She was married to Donald Jansen She resided in Grayling most of her life. Elsie was very active in the Eastern Star and White Shrine for many years, and a life long member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. She was the Co-Owner of Jansen Plumbing and Heating for 48 years. She also enjoyed playing Golf, playing Bridge, reading books, and most of all spending time with her family. Elsie is survived by her Daughter, Kay Marie (David) Hoag of Seattle, WA; Sons, David (Elaine) Jansen of Grayling, MI; Curt (Sue) Jansen of Grayling, MI; Grandchildren, Kevin (Carey) Jansen, Laura Hoag, Paul (Stacey) Jansen, Kelly (Caleb) Townsend, Michael (Sara) Hoag, Sally Jansen, James (Samantha) Jansen; Sister, Frances (Richard) Peters. Preceded in death by Husband, Donald Jansen. Funeral Services for Mrs. Elsie Jansen will be held on Wednesday August 3, 2011 at the St. Johns Lutheran Church at 1:00 p.m. Grayling, MI, Visitation will take place at Sorenson Lockwood Funeral Home on August 2, 2011 from 5-7pm. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church or Christian Help Center. Interment will take Place at Elmwood Cemetery following the Funeral Service.
