Edwin William Hartig, 81, of Grayling, passed away on November 7, 2013. Edwin was born in Saginaw, MI on July 22, 1932, son of the late Louise (Schutz) and John Hartig. He married the former Sally Campbell on April 9, 1955 in Grayling. Ed served in the US Navy Reserves. He worked at Bear Archery and was retired from Grayling High School where he worked in the maintenance department. He is a member of the Grayling Free Methodist Church. Ed is also well known for his gift of wood carving. Survived by his wife Sally of 58 years. Children: Susan Hartig of Roscommon William (Tina) of Onaway Lynn Bushey of Fife Lake. Grandchildren: Ashley Beemer and Jesse Uricek, Joshua and Michael Hartig, Shane and Christopher Youngblood, and Patience Renee Bushey. 15 Great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Lillian, and brother John Jr. Visitation will be held on Saturday November 9, 2013 between 2-4 p.m. with service beginning at 4 p.m. with Pastor Bob Marshall officiating.
