Edna Nellie Babbitt

Edna Nellie Babbitt, 89, of Grayling, MI., lived most of her life in Maple Forest Township. Edna was born in Detroit on March 25, 1925, daughter of John and Edna Wilcox. She married Harold Babbitt on December 24, 1949 at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church. Edna enjoyed crocheting and canning. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Survived by: Daughters: Helen King of Portage. Vickie (William) Berner of Vicksburg; Michelle (Carter) Pavey of Frederic; Sons: Richard Barclay of Florida; Wayne (Betty) Barclay of Oklahoma; Murray (Polly) Babbitt of Grayling; Raymond Babbitt of Grayling; Darryl Babbitt, of Frederic; She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Sister: Dorothy Williams of Florida; Brother: Herb (Ardath) Wilcox of Alpena. Preceded in death by parents; husband Harold Babbitt; son William Barclay; brothers Roland and John Wilcox and sister Marie Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Baptist Church, Grayling, MI, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014 with Pastor Ernie Wagner officiating.
