Duane Robert "Bob" Cassidy

Duane Robert (Bob) Cassidy, 79, of Frederic, passed away on Tuesday October 30, 2012. Bob was born in Saginaw, MI on January 7, 1933, a son of the late Evelyn (Vollmer) and John Cassidy. He was married to Clara for 49 years before she preceded him in death. He married Marilyn (Carlisle) Cassidy on June 3, 2000. Bob was a member of the Community of Christ Church for over 50 years. He was a firefighter in Frederic for 15 years. He served in the US Army for 4 years and the in the National Guard for 16 years. Bob was a member of American Legion Post 106. Survived by his wife Marilyn of 12 years. Daughters: Christine (Dale) Cox, of Frederic, MI; Lorraine (Jason) Clark, of Frederic, MI; Kathleen (William) Murray, of Gaylord, MI; Marleen Cassidy, of Prudenville, MI. Son: Gary Cassidy, of Frederic, MI; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren Step brother: Richard and step sister Georgia Visitation will be held on Thursday November 1, 2012 between 1-7 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Funeral will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Frederic. Family request memorial contributions go to Community of Christ Church.
