Dorothy Barbara McClain (Swanson)

Dorothy Barbara McClain, 89, of Midland Dorothy was born in Bay City, Michigan on June 19, 1921, the daughter of the late Oscar and Alma (Carlson) Swanson. She was a Grayling High School Graduate She married Jack L McClain in December of 1943 in Texas. They were married for over 50 years before he preceded her in death in 1995. She was a life member of Order of the Eastern Star of Grayling. Survived by Sons: Gary S (Karen) McClain of Midland,MI. John L (Jill) McClain of Grand Rapids Grandchildren: Bill (Heidi) McClain Kimberly (Peter) Welter Andrew (Cara Clisso) McClain Katy McClain Great Grandchildren: Alex, Hannah, Bethany, & Grace Welter Kylie & Griffin McClain Elea McClain Preceded in death by her husband Jack; Son: Michael; Siblings and spouses: Lillian & Stuart Rutledge; Anna & Tony Gross; Elizabeth & Alec Atkinson; Wilbert 'Swede' & Marion Swanson; Eva & Robert Coulter. Visitation will be held between 11:00 a.m. until just before the funeral at 12 noon on Thursday September 2, 2010 at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. William Cargo officiating and the Order of Eastern Star Memorial Service.
