Donald Russell McKim

Donald Russell McKim, 63, of Grayling, MI passed away Sunday June 3, 2012. Donald was born in Albion, Michigan on June 1, 1949, a son of the late Katherine (Fletcher) and Vernon J. McKim. Donald is survived by his son Richard (Janice) McKim of Homer, MI and daughter Donielle McKim. He is also survived by his two sisters Margene (John) Ellerby of Horton and Rosemary Wegar of Oklahoma and brother George (Pam) McKim of Grayling, MI. Donald is preceded in death by Dan McKim(brother) and Donald McKim, Jr.(infant son). Don and his family greatly appreciated the unfailing kind and friendly treatment he recieved during his stay in Grayling. Throughout his six year stay, Don pined to be back in his beloved U.P. As a younger man he was a volunteer fireman and a bartender. An avid sportsman he was a Life Member of both the North American Hunting Club and the North American Fishing Club. He loved bears but hated wolves. His Ashes will be buried in Duncan Township, Houghton County. On behalf of Don and your loved ones please support Relay for Life/the Cancer Society.
