Donald Adin Campbell, 75, of Grayling, MI., was called to serve his final commission in HIS Lord's Army on Saturday, December 21, 2013. Donald was born in Racy Twp, Saginaw County, MI on August 13, 1938, a son of the late Ruth (Davis) and Vivan Campbell. Don married the former Elaine Goss on June 3, 1958 in Jeffersonville, IN. He retired in 1995 as a Commander Sergeant Major after more than 39 years of service in the US Army and National Guard. Don also served the Carl W. Borchers VFW Post #3736 as Post Commander. He was a member of Grayling Free Methodist Church Grayling, MI 49738. Don enjoyed camping, golfing and singing. Survived by his wife Elaine of 55 years. Children: Debra (Leonard) Nemeth, of Grayling. Dena Portugal of Grayling; Yvonne (André` DeVree) Pepsin, of Cadillac; Tammi Maczorowski, of Grayling; Kevin (Tracie) Campbell of Traverse City Annjanette (Eric Felix) Prause, of Alpena. Son in law: Juan Portugal 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren Brother: LeRoy (Coralee) Campbell of Alpena Jack (Cassie) Campbell of Grayling Sisters: Beth (Jim) Shepler of Traverse City Sally Hartig of Grayling Preceded in death by his grandparents, Adin and Bertha Davis and John and Edith Campbell, his parents, baby sister Muriel, brother in law Ed Hartig, and son in law Jeremy Maczorowski. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 22, 2013 between 4-7 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Monday December 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Grayling Free Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Marshall officiating.
