Dohn E. Weaver

Mr. Dohn E. Weaver, 91, of Frederic, passed away on Sunday June 24, 2007. Mr. Weaver was born in Buchanan, Michigaan on June 18, 1916, the son of the late Noah J and Grace E (Hamilton) Weaver. He was owner & operator of Weaver's Repair & Recycling, Sexton of Maple Forest Township Cemetery for approximately 40 years. He was married to the former married Esther Hopkins for 66 years. She preceded him in death in 2001. Dohn moved to Maple forest Township in 1938 coming from Buchanan. He served as a Bishop in the Church of Christ Church of Frederic. He is survived by: Daughter(s): Carolyn Love of Frederic, MI. Margaret Gugin of Grayling, MI. Judy (Mike) Curtis of Frederic, MI. Son(s): Dohn "Lee" (Carole) Weaver of Grayling, MI., Daniel R (Debbie) Weaver of Grayling, MI. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren. Brother: Marlin J. Weaver of Grayling Sisters-in-law: Eunice and Beverly Weaver. Dohn was know as "Grandpa" and "Uncle" to many. Preceded in death by his wife Esther, Grandchildren: Lawrence A. Weaver, Timothy Love, & Gary Lee Gugin, Jr. , a great-great grandson Lars Matthew Love, Six brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 28, 2007 between 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Friday June 29, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home, Grayling, MI, with Elder Daniel R. Weaver and Elder Paul Savage officiating.
