Dawn Marie Pindell

Dawn Marie Haag Pindell unexpectedly left the earth to fly with the angels on December 20, 2019.  Dawn was born in South Bend, Indiana on January 14, 1964 to William and Sherry Haag.  She was an Army brat, following the family around while her dad was in the Army for 22 ½ years. In September 1980, they moved to Grayling, MI where she graduated from Grayling High School in 1982.  She married Mark Pindell in Houston, TX, Aug 26, 1986. They have two daughters, Amber Pindell of Grayling and Kayla Pindell of Woodhaven, MI

Dawn is survived by her parents, William and Sherry Haag, her brother, Troy Haag, husband Mark Pindell, daughters Amber and Kayla Pindell, grandchildren, Zoey and Jasper, Uncles and Aunts, many cousins and friends who will miss her greatly.

Dawn was a stay at home mom until the girls were out of school and on their own journeys. She found her calling as a Home care aid and eventually received her Certified Nursing Aide of which she was very proud.  The clients she worked with praised her attention to detail and  providing  their needs in a kind and caring manner while still having the time to sit and listen when needed.

Dawn’s priority was caring for her family and friends. She was hardworking, caring, kind, funny, friendly, feisty when needed, and had a beautiful heart full of love. Being a grandma to Zoey, 9, and Jasper,5, Amber’s children was the highlight of her life. She and Mark built an elaborate back yard play area with play truck and pirate ship. They finished a 2-story playhouse for the kids to play in this fall. She loved playing Zelda with Zoey and watching Jasper follow grandpa around the yard “helping out”.

Dawn and her mom bonded over casino trips, Scrabble games, outdoor activities, and just spending time together.  She and her dad fished and shared time lovingly picking on each other.  She and her brother enjoyed engaging in sibling rivalry through the years. She loved her gardens, flowers, and spent many hours on craft projects, scrapbooking family pictures, and developing new ideas and designs for her gardens. She delighted in decorating her home, making it comfortable and welcoming for all.

A private ceremony will be held with immediate family. "Gathering of Family and Friends to Remember Dawn" will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 between 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. This is an 'informal gathering' as Dawn would have wished. Please bring a dish to pass and memories to share.

A celebration of her life will be held in the spring, which was her favorite time of year.
