David Warren Johns, 65, of Grayling, MI passed away at Munson Grayling Hospital on August 16, 2022.
Dave was born in Adrian, MI to Cassius (Junior) and Pearl (Westgate) Johns
on February 5, 1957.
Dave enjoyed his cabin in Harrison, MI and was an avid fan of UofM football (GO BLUE), Detroit Tigers, and Dale Earnhardt (The Intimidator). He retired as a Staff Sergeant after 28 years of service in the Army National Guard in the commo platoon of the 1071st Maintenance company.
Dave is survived by his bride of 43 years, Toni Johns; children Amanda (Mark) Hopkins, Adam (Felicia) Johns, and Lindsey (John) Sauro; 12 grandchildren; 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents Cassius (Junior) and Pearl Johns.
A celebration of life will be held at Sorensen-Lockwood funeral home September 10th, 2022 from 1-4pm. Please dress casual as Dave had always jokingly said “Anyone who shows up at my service in a suit will be escorted from the premises.”
