Dale Elgin Gauthier

Dale Elgin Gauthier, Sr, 84, of Lovells MI passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI.

A Celebration of Dale's Life will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, 1:00 PM at Lovells Twp Hall in Lovells, MI. A luncheon will follow the Celebration of Life at Lovells Twp Hall.

Dale is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol Ann Gauthier; children, Dale (Charlene) Gauthier, Jr., Kathy (Jeff) Sindle, Debbie (Kent) Schupp, and Heide Miller; grandchildren, Morgan, Amanda, Krysta, Nicole, Cara, and Jon; great-grandchildren, Breckon, Brooks, Bryn, Vivian, Carson, Kip, Grayson, Kaylee, Lucy, and Harry; siblings, Harvey Gauthier and Jan Gauthier; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, son Jon Miller, sister Stella Kohlman, brother Jim Gauthier, brother Garland Gauthier, and twin sister Gale Minard.

Dale was born on February 10, 1940 in Lovells, MI to Harvey and Georganna (Weaver) Gauthier. Dale was the last life long resident of Lovells. He married Carol A. Szumanski on November 4, 1970. Dale Enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked to plow snow and really liked driving his truck around town, a lot. He loved his people. He loved to talk with people and enjoyed extending to them a helpful hand when he could.
