Claribel (Tootie) Wylie, age 86, passed away suddenly in her home on Tuesday June 12, 2012. She was a "true" native of Grayling. Born and raised here, attended grade and high school and leaves behind many reasons to be remembered. For 30 years she clerked at The Grayling Mercantile, as well as The Yardstick, and Lorraines. She was in demand as a seamstress, donut baker, pies being her specialty. Her pretty little "Pink" bungalow was noted for the gorgeous flowers and in the winter she loved shoveling her own snow, some favorite past times were berry picking at Ward's Orchards. For over 15 years she was a faithful caregiver for a childhood friend, and hostessed with coffee and donut at The Meadows, now renamed Grayling Nursing and Rehab. Baseball and golf were her favorite televised sports hobbies. She was thrilled to attend a Tigers' ball game on one occasion. A real fan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milford and Esther Hall, Brother Jack, Sister Yvonne(Bonnie). Sons Tom(Roby) Wylie, Sheldon Roby, and Scott Wylie. She will be greatly missed by many family members and friends in her community. She is survived by daughter Vera Ann Wylie, Grandson Chris Wylie, Granddaughters Roberts and LaNikki, Daughter-in-law Therese. Sister Shirley Somero. Many grand children, nephews, and nieces.
