Cheryl Lynette Cottrell

Cheryl Cottrell,53, of Grayling, passed away on November 14, 2017. Cheryl was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 20, 1963. Her parents were the late Bernard and Betty (Brown) Phelps. Cheryl married Colin Cottrell on June 4, 1983 in Bay City, Michigan. Cheryl worked as a caregiver at Wargo Manor. The joy of her life was her children and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed making christmas cookies and "glam" camping. Survived by her husband Colin of 34 years. Sons: Matthew and Wayne Cottrell. Grandchildren: Peyton and Jaden Cottrell. Mother of Jaden: Danielle Albright. Brother: David Phelps. Mother and father in law: Cecil and Leota Cottrell. Also survived by three dogs and a cat. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wayne Phelps. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Monday, November 20, 2017 between 11:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. with funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
