Cheryl Lynn Arwood

Cheryl Lynn Arwood, 63, of Grayling, MI passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

Cheryl was born in Lansing, MI to Aubrey "Fred" and Lois "Jean" (Crossgrove) Arwood on November 30, 1956. When Cheryl was 8, her family moved to Grayling which is where her heart would always stay. She married Dean Sova and they shared 16 years together. She lived in Grand Rapids for 27 years. She worked at several different jobs but loved being a stay at home mom. She moved back to Grayling in 2001 to be near to family.

Cheryl's family was her number one priority. She was always involved in her kids and grandkids sports. She enjoyed swimming, family canoe trips, camping, bon fires, Saturday brunch with her brother and sister, and her yearly girls trip to somewhere warm. She helped with the Ausable Canoe Marathon for many years. She liked sewing little crafts for craft shows and making blankets to donate to local area nursing homes. She was a very hard worker. She will be greatly missed.

Cheryl is survived by children Louis (Kara) Sova, Christen (Amy) Sova, Joshua (Rachelle) Sova, and Sarah (David) Cable; grandchildren Kyle, Annaleese, Sas, Eli, Megan, Haley, Hannah, Viktor, Cameron, Grace, Owen, and Claire; great-grandchild Zayden; siblings Dana Anderson and Joel Arwood; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Fred and Jean and grandson Wyatt.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 10:00 am until the start service at 1:00 pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Condolences can be shared with family at www.sorensonlockwood.com.
