Charles W. "Skinny" Gabriel

Charles W. "Skinny" Gabriel, 77, of Frederic passed away on Monday May 6, 2013. Charles was born on May 22, 1935 in Grayling, Michigan to the late Clarence and Violet (DesMoines) Gabriel. He married the former Willow Myer on February 14, 1958. They were married for 51 years before she preceded him in death in 2009. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, picking mushrooms, camping and playing music. Survived by Daughters: Kathleen (Eddie) Coe of Grayling Brenda (Rob) King of Frederic Sons: Matthew (Patty) Gabriel of Frederic Brent (Tammy) Gabriel of Frederic Curtis (Linda) Gabriel of Millington Grandchildren: William, Matthew (Jessica), Shawn (Megan), Adam, Craig, Amanda (Tyler), Teddy, Brandon, Steven, Brent Jr., Gabrielle, Curtis, Cole, Jaden, Mya, and Nicholas. Great grandchildren: Brandon, Brooke, Addison, Emma, Logan, Landon, Noah, Drake, and Thurston. Brother: Gerald (Sharon) Gabriel of Grayling Sister in law: Nila Gabriel of Frederic Brother in law: Gordon Cox of Frederic Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Eugene and Robert, and sisters Joyce and Betty. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 9, 2013 between 12-2 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home with service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fred A. Seidler officiating.
