Charles "Leo" Post, 91, of Grayling passed away on Saturday, May 16th, 2009. Charles was born in West Branch, Michigan on August 3, 1917, the son of the late Charles Morden and Ida M (Linsenman) Post. He served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt in WW II.and was a member of VFW Post 3736 He married the former Helma J. Coursaut on July 16, 1949 in Grayling, Michigan at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death in 2001. He worked as a Youth Supervisor at Camp Shawono and after retirement in 1980, he did construction work for 2 years. Leo enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a Boy Scout Master in Frederic during the 1950's. He was a Volunteer Firefighter and "Recruiter" to get people to work on the Frederic Fire House. Survived by: Grandchildren: Scott Piippo of Illinois Cindy (Mark) Nichols of Tennessee 4 Great grandchildren Brothers:George (Irene) Post; Jim (Nancy) Post Brother-in-law: Frank Madill Visitation will be held at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church on Tuesday May 26, 2009 between 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 and the funeral service will begin at 12:00with Dr. William Cargo officiating.
