Charles Edward ""Chuck"" Decker

Obituary composed by family. Charles "Chuck" Edward Decker age 79 years old. Went to meet his Lord on April 5, 2008 in Howard, Kansas. He was Born on Sept. 1st., 1928 to Francis P. and Hazel L. [Leline] Decker in Grayling, MI.. He is survived by one sister, Anna Marie Stoddard of Fredric, MI.. Also a special Friend and Companion Neva [Lee] McMallow of Howard Kansas. He is also survived by his Children; Gene Decker of Fitzhugh, Ok., Judy [Larry] Ruark of Grayling, MI., Gloria [Fred] McCarthy of Comstock Park, MI., Donald [Kathy] Mosher of Evansville, Ind., Hazel [Jim] Nowlin of Ada, Ok., Margaret Brothwell of Marion, MI., Ginger [Kal] Kalas of Plymouth, MI., David [Sherry] Decker of Ardmore, OK.. Surviving besides his children are 30 Grandchildren, 52 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild. On July 20, 1947 he married Darlene Ruth Love, in Grayling. Together they were blessed with 53 years of Marriage. In 1980 he moved to Fitzhugh, OK.. Where He ran two businesses. He worked with his Dad in his repair shop, also at his Gas Station [in Flint], he also drove Taxi, worked as a carpenter and as a mechanic, He also worked for Ann Arbor Construction Co.. He Helped to build I-75 in the 60's. He was also Co-owner of the D "n" R Used Furniture Store in the 70's. Chuck was precided in death by his wife Darlene, his Parents, two sons, Edward and Carl; two brothers, Art and Frank; two sisters, Laura and Beatrice; And 1 grandson, Anthony R. Mosher. Per Chucks' wishes, creamation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held for Chuck on April 12th, 2008 at the Grayling Assembly of God Church; 701 S. I-75 Business Loop Grayling at 1pm. Pastor Gary Wojdan will be afficiating. Arrangements by funeral home in Kansas.
