Charles George (Charlie) Feldhauser, 83, of Grayling, MI passed away on Friday June 28, 2013.Charles was born in Grayling, MI on August 29, 1929, a son of the late Edna (Wythe) and Albert Paul Feldhauser.He served in the US Army and worked at the Department of Natural Resources.Charles retired from the Michigan State Police in 1979 after 23 years of service. After retirement, he worked as the manager of the Rippling Waters Lodge on the south branch of the AuSable River. Charles enjoyed being a river guide, hunting, fishing, wood working, and his saw mill. He was very proud of the lodge home he built from scratch. He married the former Dolores Golnick on February 14, 1953 in Roscommon.Survived by his wife Dolores "Butch" of 60 years.Sons: Paul (Sherrie) of Cadillac; Glenn of Mt. Pleasant; Dale (Barbi) , of Dublin, CA; and Scott of Frederic. Grandchildren: Ryan, Whitney, Megan, Ashley Sisters: Marge Bryant, Ruth Cruz, Wilma Roth Preceded in death by his parents Paul and Edna Feldhauser, daughter Diane, Brothers Herb, Don, Jim and Hank , and sister Katherine. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Monday July 1, 2013 between 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Celebration of Life will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home, Grayling, MI, Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery.
