Bud Richard "Snuffy" Smith

Mr. Bud Richard (Snuffy) Smith, 86, of Bear Lake Township, passed away Friday, August 14th, 2009 at Munson Medical Center , Traverse City, MI. Bud was born in Mancelona, Michigan on April 14, 1921, the son of the late Clyde and Alma (Hazard) Smith. He served in the U.S. Navy in WW II. Bud was a member of The American Legion- Post #106 of Grayling, MI, life member of The VFW- Yuma Arizona, US LST ASSN and Charter member. Bud loved to float down the river, macrame, metal work, wood working and traveling Bud is survived by Sons: Rich (Margie) Smith of Mt Pleasant., Mark (Mary Ellen) Smith of Mt Pleasant., Dean (Lori) Smith of Grayling. Sister: Charlotte Ouvry of Mancelona. Brother: Leon Smith of Wyoming. 9 grand children. 11 great-grand children. Preceded by His wife Genevieve Smith, parents Clyde and Alma Smith, brother Bruce Smith and dear friend Vadabelle Bloom. Viewing will be held August 17, 2009 Monday 2-4 & 6-9. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home, in Grayling MI Funeral will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home, Grayling MI at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 18th, with Pastor David Rosenberg officiating.
