Betty June Essmaker (Smith)

Betty June Essmaker, 87, of Grayling, MI passed away on Tuesday February 7, 2012. Betty was born in Grosse Pointe, MI on June 28, 1924, a daughter of the late Edna (Bischoff) and Roy Smith. She married William I. Essmaker on July 12, 1946 in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Betty was active in the rose growing industry. They were married for 59 years before he preceded her in death in 2005. Survived by her children: William (Anne) Essmaker of Grayling John (Maritza) Essmaker of Grayling Kathleen (Charles) Hubbard of Alpena 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Brothers: Robert (Donna) Smith of Mt. Clemens Gary (Lorna) Shabo of Texas. There are no public services planned. Memorial contributions may be made to AuSable Valley Animal Shelter in Rose's memory.
