Barbara J. Christensen

Barbara J. Christensen of Grayling, Michigan was born May 25, 1933 and she went home to the Lord, May 17, 2014. Per her wishes, there will be no service. This poem is in honor of Barb. She had a joy for living and she had joy in knowing she was going to heaven. "When I am gone just say goodbye for now. I am going onto my afterglow. You all I love and you mustn't tie me down with your tears; be happy that we had so many years. I gave you all my love, you can only guess how much you all gave me in happiness. I thank you all for the love you all have shown, but now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve for me a while, if you must, then let your grief be comforted with trust. It's only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. And then when all come this way along, I'll greet you all with a smile and a welcome home."
