Arthur Lee McDonald

Arthur Lee McDonald, 71, of Grayling passed away onSunday, June 20th, 2010. Art was born in Sault. Ste. Marie, Michigan on February 12, 1939, the son of the late Hugh Duncan and Alpha Theresa (King) McDonald. Art was the youngest of 8 children. He served in the US Army. Art married the former Jean Ann Papenfus on July 16, 1966 in Grayling, Michigan. Art was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a retired Fire Safety Officer at State of Michigan/DMV Art is fondly remembered by his family as a good father, friend, and provider. He enjoyed playing games with his grandchildren. Art took great pride in the landscaping of his yard. He is also remembered as having a good sense of humor. Survived by his wife Jean of 43 years. Daughter, Theresa (Paul) Bruno of Grayling, MI. Sons: Todd and Troy McDonald of Grayling, MI., Grandchildren: Evan & Haleigh Bruno Sister: Shirley Craine of Grayling, MI. Preceded in death by his parents; Brothers Fred, Bob, Rich, and twin brother Allen; Sisters Dorothy Jensen and Barbara Soucy Visitation will be held on Friday June 25, 2010 between 2-8 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Celebration of Art's Life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, June 26th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Barnett officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery Grayling, MI.
