Arlene M. Sabin (Mattson)

Arlene Marie Sabin, 70, of Grayling passed away on October 31, 2011. Arlene was born in Detroit, MI on December 5, 1940, a daughter of the late Elma (Oja) and Arthur Mattson. She married Jackie Lee Sabin on July 2, 1988 in Redford Township. He preceded her in death in January of 2011. Arlene graduated from the Harper Hospital School of Nursing in 1961. She was an active member of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Grayling. Arlene enjoyed camping, traveling, reading, and Facebook with her grandchildren. She was a Detroit Tiger and Red Wing Fan. Survived by: Daughters: Denise (Brian) Pigula, of Temperance, MI; Kristine Zbikowski, of Erie, MI; Sons: Michael (Susie) Nuorala, of Petoskey, MI; Brian Nuorala, of Farmington Hills, MI. 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, and brothers Myles and Ray Mattson. Visitation will be held on Thursday Nov. 3, 2011 between 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thayer Rock Funeral Home in Farmington. Funeral service will be held on Friday Nov. 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia. There will be a memorial service at Mt.
