Arbutus L. Schofield

Arbutus L. Schofield, 93, of Grayling passed away on Sunday, January 13th, 2008. Arbutus was born in Oscoda County, MI on March 25, 1914, the daughter of the late David and Mattie (Mansfield ) Lowe. She moved to the Grayling area in 1934 and married John A Schofield. She spent most of her life in northern Michigan. Survived by Daughter: Glenda (James) Sampsel of Grayling, MI. Son: Ronald (Marcia) Schofield of Grand Haven, MI. Grandchildren: Mary Ann, John, Douglas, Susan, Matthew, Jill, Michelle, Mellissa She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Sister: Doris Lowe of Grayling, MI. Brother: Richard (Shirley) Lowe of Mt. Morris, MI. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son John D. Schofield in 2002. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 15, 2008 between 2-4 & 6-8 pm. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Wednesday January 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Lonnie Severance, Chaplain of Heartland Hospice officiating. Interment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Grayling, MI in Spring 2008. Family request donations to Heartland Hospice West Branch, MI .
