Annette "Jan" Farley

Anne Janette "JAN" Farley, 74, of Grayling passed away on Friday, December 8th, 2006. Jan was born in Lawton, Michigan on June 20, 1932, the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Helen L (Young) Nower. Jan came to Grayling in 1967 from Jackson Michigan. She enjoyed many types of arts and crafts and enjoyed teaching crocheting to others. She was very active with the senior center where she was assistant director, orchestrator/director of the award winning kitchen band, and helped coordinate such activities as pantry bingo, casino trips, and mystery dinner tours. She helped with the Miss Grayling Pageant. Jan was also a major contributor to the section of the Crawford County Avalanche that featured chat, news, and events related to the happenings at the senior center. Survived by: Daughter: Wendy Gee of Summerville, SC. Son: Wade (Amy) Gee of Saginaw, MI. She is also survived by 1 grandchild, Jennifer L. Gee and and 1 great grandchild, Brooklyn M. Gee.
