Anita Marie Laurent

Anita Marie Laurent, 83, of Grayling passed away on the morning of September 3, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by four children, Debra Canfield (Leonard Gower), Jeanie (Steve) Smith, Terri Laurent and James (Brooke) Laurent; six grandchildren, Chris (Brittany) Potter, Dane (Raven) Potter, Cade Laurent, Jed Laurent, Jenna Haring and Ashley Haring; two great grandchildren, Christopher Potter and Ethan Potter; siblings, Ron (Margo) SanCartier, Susan (Bill) Martin, Terry SanCartier and Wayne (Janet) SanCartier; as well as various nieces and nephews. Close family friends, Angie (Mark) Haring, Audrey Parrot, Harold (Andy Wiechec) Schmidt, Chris Howes and Marcia Canfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd SanCartier and Dagmar Robertson and her husband, James Laurent. Anita was a loving mother, grandmother and good friend to many. She will always be remembered for her welcoming and giving nature, which included an open door policy for all; even stray cats in the neighborhood.
