Allan Cecil Lawe, 80, passed away October 1, 2013 at his home in Grayling after a long illness. He was born August 1, 1933 in Pontiac, MI to Cecil Taft Lawe and Lillian Margurite Rock. He married Patsy Irene Holey on March 1, 1952. He served in the Marine Corp. during the Korean War. He also worked at Fisher Body in Pontiac and Bear Archery in Grayling and helped start the first Sanitation Company in Crawford county in the late 60's. He loved to play guitar, camping, gardening, woodcrafting, drawing and baking. Allan is survived by his wife Patsy; sister Ruth Alice (Milo) Stratton; 9 children: Debra (David) Fry, Robert A., Joseph C., Mark E., David E., Gregory E., James P., Deanne (Vince) Halek and Dianne M. Lawe; 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Allan is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Susan Mae Lawe. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling, MI Friday October 4, 2013 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with services following at 1:00 pm.
