Alice Lilly Burak, 89, of Grayling for summers and Largo, Florida for winters, passed away on June 25, 2021.
She was born in Detroit to the late Chris Levine and Lilly Kaja (Jensen) Madsen on July 17, 1931. She married
George Burak on May 27, 1950. They were married for nearly 47 years before he preceded her in death in 1997.
Alice loved her family intensely, played bridge avidly, and hunted for bargains routinely.
She was actively involved in the ministry and activities of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Largo and St. John Lutheran Church of Grayling.
A guiding principle of her Christian faith was acceptance, to "Let go and let God".
Survived by daughters: Sandra (Ken) Michalik of Grayling and Alison Rummel of Holly.
Daughter-in-law: Emily Burak of Ann Arbor.
Grandchildren: Brian (Annette), Peter (Cait), Courtney (Michael), Chelsea, Kaja, and Hannah.
Great Grandchildren: Maya, Sydney, Jackson, Gracie, Erin, Chris Donovan, Zeke, and Eddie.
Brother: Neal (Sharon) Madsen.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband George; son, Chris Burak; and son-in-law, Ron Rummel.
Memorial service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
